Tgiving Weekend= Ramblings

My mom, brother and nephew (Tyrell) came to Dallas for the Saintsgiving weekend. :) After our Saintsgiving dinner we went to Dallas Stadium to check out the other tailgaters and we had planned to 'hang/chill' in the parking lot w/our fella-WhoDat Nation. The energy there and the whole atmosphere got to us and we ended up getting tickets to the game!! :) omgosh! what fun we had! THANKFULLY, Saints won!! WHODAT, bayybee!! lol

I had a wonderful time w/my family (always do). It was great seeing them, especially my nephew! I miss him fiercely, already.

I took Saturday off and we worked til 3pm the Friday after Saintsgiving (heehee). Naturally, i didn't get any scrap booking done, but that's alright. :)

This weekend is a 3-day weekend for me. Tomorrow (12/3) is my last day w/my current job. I start a new job on Monday! Hallelujah!! I'm so stoked. I'm going shopping w/my friend on Friday (late) morning or (early) afternoon. (depends on when i get up-lol)

This weekend, i'm planning on scrap booking. I saw Regan's video (on youtube) where she's doing a thing called December Dailies. I saw her journal and her journal alone made me want to participate in the DD. I started (pretty much duplicated her journal) my own journal book last night. I started very late - as in 10:30pm and my husband popped his head in my room & said.. "aright, i'm headed to bed" - twas 12:30 at the time! *eeks* LOL

I'll post a pix of what I've done so far, however it's not complete, as in the order of how I'm going to bind the book together.

I also completed a few 12x12 pages last week before my family arrived for the long holiday weekend. :) I'll post those as well.

Okay, if you're still w/me. you deserve a cookie! :)

Update

Added some layouts i did back in January for a SAS challenge i wanted to do, but i didn't get a chance to post them. :) hahaha

February we went to Mardi Gras - ohmygosh, it was NUTS there!! Especially after the Saints WON the SUPER BOWL!!! yeahh!! :)

March, not much.. although, i've been buying, buying, buying, buying.. LOL so now, i need TO CREATE, CREATE, CREATE, CREATE!! LOL Well, i'm lying, i just remembered, my cousin was in the area and needed a place to crash, so he/his family stayed w/us for a night before heading back to Hawaii. :) He's in the Army! I'm so proud of him. I also had a family emergency so i went back to Albuquerque for a long weekend to be w/my family.

I also bought some TH New dies!! I can't wait. Got those from Jenn's store at liveteachcreate.com Check out her store, she's got some awesome prices!! :)

I hope everyone is doing well this fine morning. It looks like it's going to be a great day today in Dallas. :) The sun is out & it's not as cold as it has been these past few days. :)

My family came into Dallas for Tgiving. I had fun w/them and didn't realize how much i missed them until i saw them. Oh my gosh, my nephews are hilarious!! LOL They're getting big and becoming fine young men.. (and naughty) LOL

We did black friday and yes, i finally got a camera. It's a simple point-n-shoot camera, something to tie me over until i save up for a NICE camera like the one i had before. *sigh* but hey... i'm spoiled.. LOL I also got a BLACK EXPRESSION!! i love it - i need to upgrade, I'm going to unload my original baby bug on craigslist. (yipeee) So if you know someone that wants to buy my original baby bug, holla at me.

Just so you know i've been scrappin i finally uploaded my pictures w/my new camera last night. LOL

Here's a buttload of pix.. I did this l/o of my dad and uncle at their Rancher's Committee Banquet. I still need to journal it and the bracket of the pix was actually something i cut out & just layed it over the picture. I pieced two pieces of papers together to make it 12x12 and the red paper is a scrap paper. I forgot the ribbon i was going to put across it (oops) the chipboard is from a stack i got from QVC a couple years ago (LOL). the rub-ons are from MM. I think after the journaling, it'll look better. I also stamped random flourishes on the page. The 'brother' title is cut using SCAL - i can remember what font i used.

Challenge was to use 13 stickers on your l/o - LOL I"m not sure how i feel about this l/o, but maybe it'll grow on me - who knows.. LOL :shrug: for what it's worth - here it is..
