SAS Challenge #10 - 01/16/2010

Here's a sketch from ScrapRoomBlueprints - i'm really loven their sketches these days..

I challenge the ladies on the SAS message board to use this sketch as a guide and to use something new, something old and something blue.

Here's my take on the sketch..

Blue: Bazzil blue cardstock from the stack of shaped papers, BG pp is blue/old and bazzill flowers,

Old: lots of old going on.

New: Embossing powder, ribbons, rhinestones.

SAS Challenge #8 - 01/16/2010

Found this on Unscripted Sketches - I love their sketches b /c you can either use them as a card sketch or layout sketch. Challenge here was to use the sketch as a guideline and make your own embellishments.

Here's my version of the sketch.. I made my own lollipop flowers and used made on of the flowers from acetate. :)

SAS Challenge #2

I got this sketch from BG Challenge Archives (it was called Week 5 - A sketche by Martine... I liked it and i used it for startascrapbook's HH Saturday that Janelle/I are co-hosting.. LOL

Here's my version of the sketch.

Here's another l/o i did the weekend of Christmas.

I made the scalloped edges from my SU Scallop border punch and fusion felt. I liked this.

Sunday items

I made this altered book for my mom - i wanted something for my mom to help her w/her emotions of the loss of my dad. I hope she likes it.

Wow!

I actually scrapped today/tonight!! I did one 12x12 l/o - I made an altered book for my mom. I found dealing w/my dad's recent death by writing down my feelings to him as if i were writing him a letter. It's been good for me and i'm hoping it'll be good for my mom as well. I told Sara to do the same thing and i believe it's helping her. :) So i made a book for my mom. I hope it helps. even if it's only a lil bit, that's a lil bit of healing for her.

On a lighter note, we just brought the dogs in from their nightly walk. I'm headed to bed now. :)

Oh.. another thing.. at the end of January we're moving into a bigger apartment. The same floorplan we had when our apartment wasn't ready when we first arrived in Dallas. It's on the 2nd floor (which means no kids above us) although, we'll still have neighbors above us, however, they're older folks, WHICH will be GREAT!!!!! (right now, we have 3 lil kids that LOOOOOOOOOOOVE to run around at night and wake up at the crack of dawn.) and it's over looken the lake (which we've been waiting on for A LONG TIME!) lol
