I got inspired by two things to make this l/o. Ziggs MOO challenge and Auburngirl's totally random Challenge.
This dress, Sara's great gma (on that's man's side of the family.. LOL) made it and this dress was the topic of family controversary. I was going to title it Manta Drama, b/c that's what this dress caused. Drama. So i cut up the pix b/c everyone on Sara's dad's side of the family fought over it. Seriously, this is the only time they 'let' her wear it and then the dress went back into the vault.*rolleyes* it is beautiful, no less and I'm sure Sara's Great Gma would've loved to see Sara wear it and with such pride she wore it. She got ALOT of compliments and Sara was proud of it and gladly gave props to her Great Gma (Sara would tell ppl, my great gma hand stitched this dress and hand wove the yarn to make it, etc) She wore it w/such grace and loved it, until she had to give it back to 'that' side of the family.
(they literally called her and emailed her until she gave it back to her. I got emails from them and returned it back on behalf of Sara and basically told Sara that if she wanted to borrow the dress again, she would have to have to have someone w/her and take back the dress immediately!)
Although, i'm glad she was able to wear it and take pictures in it. That, they can never take from her.
I'm going to journal, so Sara's kids will know the story behind the manta. crazy, crap. LO
What i did to achieve this l/o was after i cut up the pictures 1" square (4x6 photo) i used my cricut and cut up 1" squares and put the squares aside and used the outside of the squares and cut what i needed. I kept stopping and restarting again so my outline squares didn't turn out even, but it still looks okay. After that i just put the pix in there and matted it. This was the easiest way i could think of, if anyone else knows an easier way, please share. :)

Hi Taffy, Thanks for visiting my blog. That's the "only" Christmas cars I have done, LOL but it's a start. I love your blog and your LO of your DD.I like the squares and how you did it but I don't have any suggestions on how to do it otherwise. It looks great the way it is.
Hey girl! The blog looks great and your "squared" LO is great too! Love the mosaic look. Great job!
