Etching

I tried my hand at etching.. here's what i did. I had a glass that i had bought from HL last year for my fiber.

The etching took some time, but i used the George Cartridge and looking back, i didn't think of using the whole sheet of vinyl instead of just using the outline of the word "FIBER". Did that make sense? If it doesn't sorry. But the etching cream takes about 10 mins (for a nice deep etch) to sit and then just rinse off. AWESOME STUFF!! :)

also, i think next time i need to get the transfer sheet, it'll make aligning of the lettering much easier - it took me a while to line up the letters and i keep messing up putting the letters down (b/c i used the 'outlined' button on the george)

The Armour Etch is about $11.00 for the small 3oz bottle (the size of a pill bottle) - it's good if you use a coupon w/it. (i used the 1/2 off Mike's coupon and got $6.00 off) :)

Here's my container - you can't really see it that well (sorry)

I put the vinyl in the container so you can get a glimpse of the etching.

Upclose: you can see it a lil bit better.

I used the following:

Armour Etch - Glass etching cream (in the white/purple bottle)

Cartridge: George Basic

Cricut vinyl.
